Ethiopia Natural Process 12 oz Small Batch Roast
Ethiopia Natural Process
Natural Process, Harrar, City+
A wonderfully wild Ethiopian coffee with rich berry character, wine-like sweetness, bright acidity, and a full, lingering finish.
To the Average Coffee Lover
If you like your coffee to have a little attitude, this is the one for you.
Our Ethiopia Longberry Harrar is unlike the delicate, tea-like Ethiopian coffees many people are familiar with. This naturally processed coffee is rich, fruity, and full-bodied, with prominent blueberry and cherry flavors balanced by a sweet, wine-like character and a smooth chocolate finish.
We roasted this coffee to a City+ roast to preserve the bright fruit character of the Harrar while giving it enough development to build a fuller body and deeper chocolate sweetness. As the coffee cools, the fruit becomes even more expressive, revealing layers of berry, citrus, dried fruit, and dark chocolate.
This is a bold and distinctive coffee that rewards you for slowing down and paying attention to what's happening in the cup.
A Connoisseur's Perspective
Tasting Notes: Blueberry • Cherry • Citrus • Wine • Dried Fruit • Milk ChocolateA versatile, high-altitude blend designed to be the perfect anchor for your morning routine.
Harrar is one of Ethiopia's most distinctive coffee-growing regions and is particularly renowned for its traditional natural processing. The whole coffee cherry is dried intact around the seed, allowing extended contact between the coffee and its fruit during drying. This process is responsible for much of Harrar's characteristic berry, wine, and dried-fruit complexity.
Longberry refers to the large, elongated bean type traditionally associated with Harrar. These coffees are known for their substantial body and pronounced fruit character, with blueberry, cherry, wine-like sweetness, and chocolate among the commonly observed cup characteristics.
Our City+ roast is intentionally positioned to preserve the coffee's lively fruit and acidity while developing additional body and chocolate character. The result is a cup with bright fruit up front, a rich and wine-like middle, and a smooth, lingering finish.
